Peter near Tiptree

The only mux which is due for a power increase in 2 weeks time is Mux2 on channels 68 and 56 moving to 41. I have never been able to receive this mux 3 miles east from Tiptree.

The propagation predictor is quite pessimistic. It predicts poor quality for Mux 1, but in reality this mux is quite excellent, and so it should be at 100kW power.

Liam: There is an improvement to the reception of Mux ArqB shown on 16th November 2011, when the frequency changes temporarily to C63, but still at low power. As you are are using an indoor aerial it might not be possible to achieve reliable reception of this mux until 27th June 2012 when frequencies become available enabling the COM muxes to switch to high power transmitters.

Rob: There should be no change to the signal on C68 until it is switched off on 20th July 2011 and replaced by Mux D3+4 on C41. A number of posts have mentioned that it is no longer being found, possibly because the signal is so weak compared to the very strong signal on C44 it is being overlooked. If you are able to do a manual tune try entering C68 first before adding the other muxes, that is after first clearing the channel list by doing a factory reset.

I can receive BBC channels but no/very poor ITV, Chan 4 and Chan 5 on my Freeview box. Are signal strengths the same for every TV channel? When during the switchover period will I be able to watch the 5 channels I had before? I live in Colchester and have a loft aerial.

I'm starting to lose the will to live now, I'm in IP31 (on the edge of Tac and Sud) but pointing at Sudbury. My DVR has MUX 2 on channel 68 and showing no signal, my TV has MUX 2 on channel 56 and breaking up in a weak signal. What should I be tuned to here?
