has anyone ever figured out how to fix this green screen problem problem with the humax pvr.
as far as i can see through other online comments its because the tv's say they are hd ready but when conecting the hd humax it screws the hd over and just produces a green screen unless you connect it through scart.
did an install for a customer and im baffeled, i only installed the dish he brought the box himself but i would like to try and help him.

any info please reply on here or email

ian: A green-screen indicates a problem with HDCP. It means the TV (or other display device) does not correctly support HDCP.

You also sometimes see this is the resolution of the display is below that being provided by the equipment.

I've noticed that sometimes the box will crash the display output via HDMI when the input or output video resolution changes between 576, 720 or 1080, it's annoying but a small price to pay for an otherwise very cool box. If changing the V-Format on the humax doesn't work, try turning your TV off and on again using the TV remote, that usually sorts it out.

That said, I've not forced a software update yet, so that may fix it.

I occasionally get a green screen when I turn on the TV and Humax Freesat box. It's caused by incorrect handshake of the HDMI. If you turn OFF and then turn ON the TV it usually fixes the problem.

Hey Laura you can get an octo lnb fitted to hold all 3 boxes and more. Not sure what you are wanting the 2m of cable for is it from the dish to new box. Any ways octo lnb depending on who fits £40 to £120 installed plus the cable run.

bill anderson: The box must have a satellite signal from a "default transponder" to be able to decode the postcodes.

Check your box has got a signal.
