Ulster TV should just put there hd channel on to freesat first then there +1 channel two or three months later because they have been treating there viewers like children last year and this year by the looks of it come on utv get your finger out and just do it

Conor Mc Dermott: I'm only actually speculating that there will be UTV+1... this might be a dead slot.

I still think the switch over is to slow ans has to speeded up and brought forward to april of this year because it is hindering the people in northern ireland because the are the worst in the uk for free hd coverage and ofcom should be sued to bring the switch over forward to april and it will free up space for 4g sooner

Conor: The switchover schedule has been planned as it is for about six years, and cannot be changed as there are only a certain number of engineers employed to do the multi-billion pound works.

Ofcom is cannot be "sued" as it is the regulator and is set up in law to make the decisions.

And it's not Ofcom that is causing 4G delays, but the mobile phone companies bickering in court about it.

Does anyone know what has happenned to UTV+1 on Freesat and Sky? It seems to have gone from both. Manual tuning to its old frequency of 10891H-22k-5/6 now shows ITV+1 Wales instead. There's no mention of UTV+1 on the Lyngsat website any more.

Radan: Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2B / Astra 2D / Eutelsat 28A (28.2°E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat shows it on 10832H instead. ITV plc are consolidating things a bit so they can launch more time-shifts of the England regions (e.g. West+Westcountry separated from Wales), maybe this is why they felt they needed to move it.

I'm not sure what the arrangement is here, presumably UTV have to pay ITV plc to lease space on their transponder (ITV lease the transponder from SES directly, I believe).

Mike: Thanks for directing me to KingofSat which I didn't know about. However UTV+1 is not present either on 10891H or 10832H. I have since found out from the Digital Spy Forum that UTV+1 has definitely gone, and may or may not be back.

Any word on UTV+1 returning to satellite ?

I assume this will happen at some stage since the recent signing of the agreement with ITV on the UTV HD issue. I think UTV+1 on satellite was also part of the agreement.
