Hi, as a regular viewer, I have noticed that both Dave and movies4men have very highly compressed sound... This gives very annoying artifacts on the treble part of the sound... Almost up watchable....
Why is it so bad when most other channels are fine...
Surely this has been heard by your technicians ?please help!!

mark manwaring-white: Frankly, the audio is the least of their problems! They seem to show straight-to-video films from 20 years ago, with the picture quality of a knockoff video tape. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if they were just going through someones old video collection.

R Watts: To be fair, the quality seems to have improved recently, both in terms of broadcast quality, and the sort of films they are actually showing. On the other hand, its still not one I watch that often.

Why the fanfare about retuning our TVs on March 1st because Dave is moving ? I have retuned about four times and Dave simply refuses to move. When will the change actually take place ?

Ken Gibbs:

I suspect that the multiplex that carries the Dave services has changed but it will still appear on the original 'Logical Channel Number' (often referred to here as LCN), so you will see no difference as you have done the retune. If you had not retuned, you may well have lost Dave.

Simbo1943: Check the signal strength - if its very low, sounds like your system has a problem, and its the first mux to go.
