Can I get rid of all the channels I can't watch from the EPG?

Sort of..

If you power off the box and restart it with a card in the slot, you will only get the Sky Guide to show the free channels; however this does mean that you will not see itv-1, Channel 4 or five either.

I imagine it is because Sky wish to entice you back into subscription package that they give the whole listings.

You may find the "favourite channels" facility helpful (on the SERVICES menu).
