You can get the following Freeview channels on with an ex-contract digital satellite receiver (once it is connected). Items marked with a star require either a Freesat from Sky (fSfS) card, or a expired Sky subscription card to view.

chopper: It needs the second link to the LNB package if you want to record something you are not watching, but it will operate to some extent with just the first cable connected.

Hi,

Sky hd boxes have a single cable mode option in the menu to try to make single cable use more reliable.

My cousin has sky and is switching to BT vision. She has no aerial in her house only her sky dish. Can I connect her sky dish to her BT vision box an use it to receive the freeview side of BT vision? If not what am I to do? Install a digital aerial? Thanks

Hi Tommy,

You need to install a aerial for her.

Tommy Fraser - BT vision requires connection via an external Aerial. If you don't have ab aerial installed you won't be able to link the BT Vision receiver.

Sally: Yes, you can connect a Freesat TV to an old Sky dish, or you can use a Freesat box with the dish.

Just connect the cable to the correct input point on the TV or set top box.
