Hello, could really do with some help. I'm in post code rh12 5gz which is a Horsham code. Last night all my channels vanished. I assumed due to weather. I did a rescan and nothing could be found. Tried again countless times today and still nothing. I have since been told work took place onthe tratransmitter but nobody else seems to have list all channels. Any ideas how to get viewing back!?

r. bedford: Have you checked that the aerial is still in place and is pointing in the usual direction? Also check cables and connectors for damage. Are neighbours experiencing the same problem? If you have a manual tuning facility try selecting, in turn, the frequencies for the Midhurst transmitter, noting the signal strength and quality. If any of them give an acceptable reading select the channel search and store.

Thanks for your help. Nobody else seems to have these problems. I do have manual tuning but the options I have are simply channel number, frequency and bandwidth The frequency can't be changed and is at 177500khz the bandwidth stays at 7mhz. The channel number begins at 5and if i change it the freq moves around various numbers. Sorry for being vague but not to clued up on thus!

r. bedford: That mentioned suggests that you are not using a standard Freeview receiver, therefore in order for anyone to be able to assist its necessary for same to know the brand and model number of the TV or box in question

r. bedford: In addition to that said, I would be inclined to carry out a complete reset on whatever you are using and when it comes to setting it up again select DVB 8 (not 7) followed by "manual tuning" and enter the following channel / frequencies which apply to Midhurst.

(BBC) Ch55 / 746.0 Mhz - (ITV) Ch56 / 754.0 Mhz - (HD service) Ch58 / 770.0 Mhz - (SDN / ITV3 etc) Ch54 / 738.0Mhz - (ArqA) Ch59 / 778.0Mhz - (ArqB) Ch50 / 706.0Mhz.

It seems all frequencies are already what you suggested. When I start the search it lasts all of a few seconds then says no channels memorised

r. bedford: Thats inclined to indicate that the signal being received is too low for the tuner to lock onto, and something which might be caused by the same reason as yesterday evening as a weak signal engineering notice had been posted to this effect.

I noticed that you has said that nobody else seems to be having the same problem, are you referring to your immediate neighbours? and if you are then are they using an aerial system similar to your own?

Yeah the weak signal due to engineering I had heard of. I spoke to freeview themselves who said it should be good in 1-2 days. Just find that odd as everyone else seems fine. I am in a set of flats and it seems it the same aerial for each little block. I did try retuning when I got in last night but freeview told me I shouldn't have if engineering work was going on at the time?!? Is it just a case of waiting?

Any furthur advice?!? I'm still without all channels. My auto scan starts at channel 5 for some reason and my manual scan will go no lower than channel 5. Really frustrating!!
